Carmen Kosicek is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of expertise in practice and mental health care. She is an award winning published author, nationally known educator and provider. She not only leads a team of providers at Visionary Psychiatry, she previously founded and later sold Alay Health Team in Wisconsin / Arizona. Truly a visionary in the healthcare of business and pushing the envelope of progression for Nurse Practitioners and her patients!
Her journey to becoming a leader in mental health care began with a degree in Nuclear Medicine in 1991, where she took an in-depth study of functional and molecular-focused physiological processes.
She later pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (1995) and Master of Science in Nursing (1998) at the prestigious Case Western Reserve University.
Carmen’s career progressed with a post-graduate Nurse Practitioner Certification as a Nurse Midwife from Frontier University and a second post-graduate Nurse Practitioner Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of Cincinnati in 2016.
Passionate about breaking barriers in psychiatric treatment, Carmen is a leader in mental health care with a mission to provide current holistic mental wellness with evidenced based medication options to her patients. Compassionate and accessible care across the state for a span of ages, and diagnoses in all markets is her focus.
